Experience authentic American craftsmanship with a wool blanket from Pendleton. Woven in the brand’s historic USA mills, each blanket reflects over a century of textile expertise and heritage design. Crafted from premium wool, it delivers exceptional warmth, durability, and breathability for year-round comfort.
The craft of overshot weaving came to America with Scottish immigrants, who migrated to milder climes in the south, like the tiny town of Seven Springs, North Carolina. A squared pattern pays tribute to the intricate patterns of traditional coverlets, hand-loomed on a white warp in the four-harness overshot method. Weavers grew their own flax and cotton, and raised sheep for wool which was hand-carded, spun, and colored with natural dyes. Today, their Appalachian artistry is preserved in museums.
